No need to wait for an official event to go for an awesome run in the Republic of Korea. There are countless cool trails and rad routes for you in this mountainous little country. Let’s get you started on some great runs of your own with some ideas from our archives!

Training runs

The following runs took place on sanctioned race courses, but were self-supported. We ran in order to train for upcoming races, but the preparation was just as memorable! These are phenomenal routes, with or without that race environment. And one of them – Ultra Trail Mount Jiri – turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime race: now you can only run this route on your own! Other Epics

These are some of our longest 120 summits adventure runs. They’re not just special summits, they are special running routes too!

Note: These aren’t the only runs from our 120 summits mission that I would describe as epic – there are lots of shorter climbs that were incredible! See the full list for more of Korea’s famous summits. The short list above includes routes most recommended for long, self-supported running adventures.
