Malaysia is a magical country. Blessed with a wonderful and diverse array of environments, you can climb a massive mountain one day and be lazing on a tropical beach the next day. Head deep into the rainforest in search of the world’s largest flower, stop to refuel in the multi-cultural capital mid-week and conclude your adventures on a speck of sand in the sea watching turtle hatchlings make a break for the sea. Adventures like these, coupled with one of the friendliest populations on the planet, have made my Malaysian travels rank among my favorites!

In 2016, Kent and I had the chance to climb the incredible Mt. Kinabalu: a truly unforgettable experience. Afterwards, we stuck around to discover so much more in East Malaysia.
